Tōnatiuh has been entirely handcrafted from the ground up by just the two of us here at Land Pirate Conversions – designed, built and finished with an almost ridiculous amount of love, sweat, sawdust and attention to detail.

Meet Tōnatiuh. ☀️

Named after the Aztec Sun God and built to chase horizons.

From the very beginning, we wanted this build to feel different. Not just another campervan. Not something copied from a catalogue or assembled from off-the-shelf furniture.

We wanted to build something with character, craftsmanship and a personality all of its own.

And this is what we created. 🔥

Behind Tōnatiuh’s rugged exterior sits an interior completely handcrafted by us, where warm natural materials meet bold Aztec-inspired details.

Look up and you’ll find her incredible geometric slatted bamboo ceiling, with not one but two massive skylights for star gazing. Around you are individually built cabinets, handcrafted ash details, beautiful limewashed walls and bespoke Aztec upholstery. Even the little details have been designed specifically for this van – right down to the handmade raffia light shades.

But Tōnatiuh isn’t just built to look incredible.

He’s built to be USED.

There’s a permanent fixed rear bed ready to collapse into after a long day exploring, with a huge garage underneath for all the gear that comes with adventure. Her heavy-duty drawer steps hide masses of additional storage, while the handmade kitchen gives you a proper space to cook wherever you decide to call home that night.

You’ve got your own wet room and toilet, serious off-grid electrical capability, solar power and all the comforts we’ve managed to squeeze into one very special villa on wheels.

Every cupboard. Every panel. Every piece of trim. Every curve, cut, scribe and finishing touch has passed through our hands.

There is no production line.

There won’t be another like it.

There is only one Tōnatiuh.
